Our preschool for children aged 3-5 will help your child to make friends, get socialized, and be more than ready for Kindergarten. We focus on a “whole child” philosophy and help develop your child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through PLAY.
(Little do they know they are actually learning really important Kindergarten readiness skills WHILE they play – shhh! don’t tell them!) We can’t wait for your child to join our preschool class!
OUR CURRICULUM IS FUN, PLAY-BASED, & CHALLENGING!
Every day is an adventure! From our engaging and bright classroom to our exciting hands-on activities, your child will develop a love for life-long learning!
We Focus On The “Whole Child!”
At Growing Minds Preschool, we follow a “whole child” philosophy where we partner with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for kindergarten!
Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals.
We also incorporate Abeka Christian Curriculum.
We Love Questions!
We aim to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment.
In fact, one of the best ways we can teach is to ask THEM questions. “What are you creating?” “How does it work?” “Tell me about what you drew.” etc.
We Partner With You!
We assess our students three times each year to discover what areas they’re strong in, and what areas still need more work.
We keep you in the loop on what we’re working on, and we also let you know exactly how your child is doing during our two parent teacher conferences each year.
Process… Not Product!
We love to get messy, and the best time for that is at art time! We focus on the process, not the end product, and use a wide variety of art materials.
Children learn SO MUCH MORE when they have the chance to explore and play without rules of what art “should” look like at the end.
Fun Themes & Centers!
Every few weeks, we dive deep into a new, exciting theme based on our upcoming field trips, the weather, holidays, or whatever the children are dying to learn more about.
We change out our centers and materials to reflect the new theme. Our classroom is always changing, and you never know what exciting things we’ll add next week!
THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT WE CAN RECEIVE IS YOUR REFERRAL!
My daughter went from “I’m never going to preschool, I want to stay with you” to “how many more days until preschool starts?” As a parent that is exactly the kind of environment I want my child to be in and Jennifer makes her feel so welcomed and loved.Sarah
When we found growing minds and did a tour and met Jennifer we absolutely fell in love and knew our kiddos had to be there. Jennifer is such a down to earth, caring, nurturing teacher and truly cares about the well being of your child and family. Jennifer always has fun activities, and projects for the kiddos to do and they learn so much in such fun ways it keeps them wanting more! My kiddos absolutely adored her and I highly recommend growing minds to anyone and everyone! Jennifer is truly a blessing and your child(ren) would be in absolutely great care with her!Jacque Young
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Jennifer Neatherlin is with littles. She was meant to be a preschool teacher and she shows her love for it everyday. My son was with her for 2 years and is going to miss her so much. She truly cares, not just about her students, but about their families too. I am so glad I stumbled upon her school. From the moment I met her, I felt completely comfortable leaving my son with her and trusting him in her care. He has had such a great learning experience and is beyond ready for the next chapter. She has enriched my family’s life with her compassionate and kind nature and we are all going to miss seeing her.Cora Bedford
We love this school! Mrs. Neatherlin is so good about letting each kid feel loved and comfortable while pushing them to be their best self! Her focus on strengthening faith, character development, and learning through play is just what we were looking for. Our only complaint is that it’s Pre-K only so our oldest is aging out – we all are so sad to be leaving, but are confident that she is now ready for Kinder thanks to Mrs. N making learning so much fun!Chelsea Wheeler
There were many choices while looking for a preschool for my son. After visiting with Mrs. Neatherlin we decided she’s the one. And I thanked the Lord for helping me make that decision. It was the first time my 4 year old ever going to be away from me. I was worried in so many ways but, the proof is in the outcome. My son loved every single day of going to school. I felt he was safe under her care. Mrs. Neatherlin not only did a wonderful job preparing my son for kindergarten academically, she taught him social skills, respect, manners, compassion, and Bible stories! She is kind, patient, and very thoughtful!
We couldn’t have picked a better place for him to be.Gasavee Doré
